 Let’s Talk Business is hosted by CJ McClanahan, president of ReachMore Strategies. CJ is a management consultant and leadership trainer who writes a regular column on leadership for the Indianapolis Business Journal. He is also a licensed business coach with Action Coach and is recognized as one of the top coaches in the United States. He was named the “Rookie of the Year” and “Coach of the Year” in his territory and was recognized nationally with the “Action Man of the Year” award.
CJ is an active leader in his community having served as the president of the Penrod Society and Rainmakers, the fastest growing business development organization of its kind in the US. CJ was also named to the 2006 class of the Indianapolis Business Journal’s “40 under 40” recognizing the up and coming business leaders in central Indiana.
After beginning his career with Arthur Andersen where he helped organizations utilize technology to improve their business processes, CJ shifted his focus toward the small business. He served as the Director of Finance and Operations for a medium sized ($12 million annual revenue) manufacturing organization and as a Director of Sales and Business Development for a global software company ($20 million in annual revenue).
Throughout his career, CJ has held senior management positions in the four key areas necessary to operate and grow a business - sales/marketing, operations, finance and information technology.
